Noah is a great reluctant hero, applying training from both the mundane world and the arcane in ways that would be twists in any scenario, let alone a modern-day fantasy.
His growth as a character is admirable, without a lot of the inability to believe that seems to plague so much contemporary fantasy.

The storyline was not too heavy, too scary, or too violent.
Safe for all ages. I could easily see Raven Moonstone as a Disney family movie!
