My reaction to “The Keeper of Stories” is mixed. I enjoy reading most genres of fiction, but this book was different. Mind you, I did not dislike the book, but it felt to me, at times, just a bunch of short stories with a lot of profanity in places which did not add to the storyline in my opinion. I am not a prude, but a little profanity here and there makes a story sometimes more believable, if not acceptable. But here, well, it just did not work, at least for me.
I was at least interested in the ‘conversations’ with the dog. What in the world was that?
Maybe me being a male, I am missing something, and I am blaming it on the book.
Overall, the novel by Ms Page was OK, but I will not be revisiting it in the future.
I read as part of my book club. Glad I did not purchase it.
