The Secrets She Keeps by Michael Robotham is an absolute joy to read, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! This novel masterfully employs alternating points of view between its two main female protagonists. This narrative choice is incredibly effective, as it constantly shifts your perception and builds anticipation with every page, making you eager to discover what will happen next.
I’m not going to give anything away, but trust me, you absolutely have to read it to truly appreciate the brilliant way Robotham unfolds the story.
A crucial point: do not confuse the book with the Australian TV series that premiered in April 2020. I haven’t seen the series, but if it’s even half as captivating as the novel, then wow! The book is a truly gripping and suspenseful read that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
It’s a solid five out of five stars from me. If you’re looking for a psychological thriller that will surprise and engross you, pick up The Secrets She Keeps!
